One live fire map, many countries
Fire Map Today is a network of live fire and wildfire maps. Each country's page brings together the same essentials in one place: active fires detected by satellite, official warnings and incidents from the responsible agencies, fire-danger levels and — where available — air quality and burnt-area perimeters. Pick a country above to open its live national map.
Australia is covered in depth, with warnings, fire-danger ratings, total fire bans, planned burns and a page for every significant fire. The European maps (Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia and Türkiye) are bilingual and built on EFFIS / Copernicus data and NASA satellite detections, with a region-by-region breakdown and a daily archive. Chile (in Spanish and English) adds official CONAF forest-fire data, and New Zealand combines NASA detections with NIWA fire-danger, each broken down region by region.
Across the Americas, the United States map adds official WFIGS / NIFC incidents state by state, while Brazil (Portuguese & English) tracks the Amazon, Cerrado and Pantanal fire season with INPE Queimadas as its reference, and Argentina, Bolivia and Peru (Spanish & English) map the South American dry-season fires province by province. Colombia (Spanish & English) adds IDEAM's official fire-danger alerts department by department.
Newest on the network: South Africa tracks the summer veld-fire season across all nine provinces down to district and local-municipality level, and Indonesia (Bahasa Indonesia & English) maps the peatland and forest-fire season and its haze across every province, regency and city — each built on NASA satellite detections and the national fire agencies.
Every map republishes public data and is not an official warning service. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number and follow your official emergency services.
